After a week-long spell of clouds, glorious sunshine broke out on Kelsey and Sam’s wedding day! On the entryway to the inside of Anne’s Washington Inn in Saratoga Springs where the cocktail hour was held, there were wonderful touches of spring tulips. Jars of customized candy they provided brought more happiness to the guest’s faces!
But back to Sam and Kelsey. Kelsey was one of those brides that the camera loves,i.e., that she is just an amazing person to photograph. I had to stop myself from taking any more portraits in the room so we could stay on time for their first look. The Inn has the most incredible natural light and Kelsey has the most lovely eyes…. The dress was perfect and so was her birdcage headpiece. I hated pulling her away for the next part of the day. Sam has the most charming smile and contagious laugh plus his blue suit was beyond impeccable. After hugs and tears, the bridal party joined them. And oh my goodness, what a fun group of friends they are. One of the guys suggested we do the “jump” photo. Since the girls can’t jump in heals it was up to the men to make the shot memorable and judging by the image, they did so with great enthusiasm.
Taking photos of the families was our next order for the day. The genuine intimacy and connections shown by both families was a pleasure to behold. I usually don’t include the families photos in our blogs but they were so much fun and so loving that I was compelled to include a few.
Rev. Joy Burke had the ceremony well in hand and did a first-rate job of organizing and making sure that the ceremony was meaningful to all involved. Tears, tears everywhere!
Longfellow’s catered the wedding. Judging from the many plates of food being passed and consumed so quickly it was obvious everything they served was a big hit. The staff at Longfellow’s know their stuff and we are always thrilled to be at an event catered by them. We know that everything will be tasty and perfectly run. Joey Conti was a good friend of the bride and also was the evening’s musical entertainment. Amazing!! Nobody sat in their seats including Sam’s 86 year old grandmother. She was actually the first one on the dance floor. I can’t say enough about tent by Rain and Shine, Joe, owner of Anne’s Washington Inn ( he’s the photo=bomber on the porch..so much fun!), and Bekah from Longfellow’s.
Thanks to all for making our day so easy and stress-free and I know you did the same for Sam and Kelsey and their families. I hope you enjoy this gorgeous Anne’s Washington Inn Wedding.
